On the second day of Refugees Week, an impactful event was orchestrated in collaboration with Siniparxi at the Sapfou Square, a public space. The event was thoughtfully designed to incorporate a diverse range of activities, culminating in a performance by Rad and a DJ set by our friend Allisa.
Throughout the event, attendees were treated to a plethora of engaging activities, including clowns and jugglers who provided entertainment that transcended age groups. Dance performances added an element of cultural expression, while a music segment showcased the talents of local artists. An exhibition of paintings added an artistic dimension to the event, inviting attendees to reflect on themes of identity, displacement, and belonging.
Workshops served as a platform for learning and collaboration, fostering an environment of coexistence and understanding. By promoting communication and shared experiences, the event aimed to bridge gaps and encourage connections between different communities.
“Coexistence and Communication in the Aegean” took the opportunity to commemorate Refugee Day by extending an invitation to both friends and refugees. The objective was to create an unforgettable experience, one that transcended barriers and brought people together. Regardless of age or background, the event aimed to provide a wonderful afternoon of unity, fostering a sense of togetherness that echoed the spirit of the Refugees Week.
