RAD Music International organized a captivating concert at One Happy Family in July 2019, in collaboration with OHF and RouddyKimpioka. This event, named “African Cultural Day,” marked the second edition of a similar activity that was initially held on July 31, 2017. The concert served as a platform for cultural exchange and unity among the diverse communities residing in the Moria camp on the island of Lesbos.
One Happy Family is renowned for its role as a cultural and social haven for refugees on Lesbos. It provides a safe and welcoming space for people of various backgrounds to come together and connect. RAD Music International utilized this meaningful environment to promote and celebrate African culture, alongside other cultures such as Arabic, Afghan, and European.
The concert aimed to foster connections among different cultural groups, recognizing that refugees share a common goal and are united in their efforts to overcome challenges. By bringing together various cultures through music and cultural exchange, RAD Music International contributed to creating a vibrant atmosphere of understanding and harmony. The event showcased the power of music and culture in building bridges and strengthening the sense of community among refugees and locals alike.
